Description
Description
Leaf Wetness Sensor LWS-31™ indicates the presence of condensation or water droplets on leaves or surfaces.
The device can attached to a stem or branch within the canopy. Alternatively, the sensor can be attached to a stake or pole and indicate rain or dew conditions.
LWS-31 is manufactured in the USA by METER Group.
LWS-31 can be attached to Dyacon CM-1™ Weather Station Control Module, Data can be viewed remotely on DyaconLive.
The capacitance/frequency technology of LWS-31 provides an immediate response to droplet presence, there is no absorption delay.
Key Features
Construction: LWS-31™ is fully sealed for direct exposure to rainfall.
A 5 m cable is resistant to soil and sun exposure.
Interchangeability: Sensors may be interchanged and replaced by the user without calibration.
Data: Analog sensor output is compatible with a wide range of instruments. Water content is proportional to analog output.
Installation: LWS-31 is simply attached to a stem or post using the two mounting holes.
Applications
Leaf wetness may be used to detect:
- Irrigation operation
- Rain
- Condensation
- Herbicide or pesticide coverage
- Roadway surface conditions
- Frost formation
