Description
The RGTB‑7™ tipping bucket rain gauge with standard funnel provides measurement accuracy in low- and medium-rate precipitation conditions.
Like the other rain gauges sold by Dyacon, RGTB‑7 is made by our friends in Austraila, Hyquest Solutions, a leading manufacturer of rain gauges offering exceptional value and performance.
RGTB‑7 utilizes the same mechanism as the high-end rain gauges. The top of the gauge is injection molded ASA, which allows for a lower cost and integrated bird guard. Like the RGTB-4 and RGTB-6, the -7 employs dual reed switches for switch redundancy and for connecting parallel equipment.

Key Features
Upper Construction
RGTB‑7™ uses injection molded ASA orifice and body.
The cylinder is mounted to the base using keyhole slots. The cylinder can be removed without fully removing the screws, minimizing the potential for lost screws while servicing equipment.
Lower Construction
An ASA injection-molded tipping bucket is Teflon impregnated with drip-discharge geometry. The based is the same that it is used for more expensive gauges, including the sapphire bearings and dual reed switches.
The injection-molded base is made of UV-resistant ABS, which is field proven in cold and desert conditions beyond eight years.
Data Connection
Each bucket tip momentarily closes a reed switch, indicating one incremental step of the gauge resolution.
Dyacon replaces the standard Hyquest Solutions cable with an outdoor-rated, jacketed cable.
Electronics
The reed switches, varistors, and connector are low-pressure overmolded.
Mounting
RGTB‑7™ includes an integrated bubble level. Three-point mounting holes can be mounted to any flat surface.
Accessories
A pole mount and leveling bracket.
